Patchlock terms
Last updated 9 November 2026
Who we are
Patchlock is supplied by BAINJ Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 87 656 974 622), Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). Questions: jordan@jordanbain.com.au
Your patch
A patch is a group of touching suburbs with up to 10,000 homes, counted from the latest Census (ABS 2021 in Australia, Stats NZ 2023 in New Zealand). One suburb with more than 10,000 homes can be a patch on its own. In the founding round, each agent can hold one patch.
What's exclusive
While your membership is active, we won't sell Patchlock, or run our ads, for any other agent in your patch. Other agents can still list, sell and advertise in your area themselves. Patchlock doesn't give you ownership of, or any legal rights over, a suburb.
Keeping your patch
Your patch stays exclusive while your ads are live. If your ads haven't run in your patch for 30 days in a row, we'll email you. If they're still not running 14 days after that, and another agent is waiting for your patch, we'll give you 7 days' notice. If your ads still aren't running after that, your patch goes to that agent and your membership ends at the end of the month you've paid for. If no one's waiting, nothing changes.
Price
Founding price, for the first 20 patches claimed by Friday 27 November 2026: $397 + GST a month per patch (New Zealand: A$397 a month). PocketAppraisal Solo is included.
If you already pay for PocketAppraisal, that bill stops from your next billing date. If you sign up to PocketAppraisal as a member, we switch its billing off before its free trial ends, so you only pay for Patchlock. If you've had PocketAppraisal before, tell us and we'll set it up so you only pay for Patchlock.
Your founding price is locked for as long as your membership continues without a break. After 27 November 2026, new patches start from $497 + GST a month (New Zealand: A$497).
Ad spend isn't included. You pay Meta directly for your ads.
All prices are in Australian dollars. New Zealand members are billed in AUD with no GST.
Payment
Your membership is paid monthly in advance by card, through Stripe. A tax invoice is emailed after each payment.
Cancelling
Cancel any time by emailing us. It stops at the end of the month you've paid for, and your patch then opens up for other agents. We don't refund part months. When your membership ends, PocketAppraisal goes back to its normal plan and price, unless you ask us to cancel it too.
Built for you (optional)
$2,950 + GST once (New Zealand: A$2,950). We build and launch your Patchlock ads and page. They'll be live within 7 days of you giving us everything we ask for: access to your Meta ad account and Facebook page, and your database. If they're not, we'll refund your first month's patch fee. You get a full refund of Built for you if you cancel before you submit your onboarding.
Your database
You must have the right to use your contacts for marketing under the privacy laws that apply to you. You load your database into your own Meta ad account (we show you how), or give us access to do it for Built for you. We only use it to build your audiences. We never sell it or share it.
No guarantees
We don't promise leads, listings, appraisals or any other result. Meta decides whether and how your ads run, and its policies apply.
Your PocketAppraisal page
PocketAppraisal's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
Changes
We'll email you at least 30 days before any change to these terms or your patch.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under New Zealand law, that can't be excluded. These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
Privacy
We collect your name, email, mobile, agency and the suburbs you're interested in. We use them to run the map, your patch, the waitlist and the Briefing, and to email you about them. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details. We don't sell your details. To see or correct what we hold, or to be removed, email us.
We also count, anonymously, which suburbs are checked on the map.
If you tick "Show my name and agency on the map", your name and agency are shown publicly on the map.
We use Stripe for payments, Lovable Cloud to host the site and its data, and ActiveCampaign to send Jordan's weekly note to people who ask for it.
